Alex Russek has always existed at the intersection of music and film. Getting his start in his teens as drummer for Disney act Jesse McCartney and then later Vice/Warner Bros band Team Spirit, he transitioned to film at NYU and cut his teeth working for adventure film directors Josh Lowell and Pete Mortimer, editing projects for Google, Patagonia, and Red Bull. He post supervised the SXSW award winning feature documentary The Dawn Wall for Lowell & Mortimer while also writing and directing his own independent feature Sam The Spaceman.

Since moving to Los Angeles in 2018, he has edited music videos and live content for Florence and The Machine, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Khalid, Popcaan, Kanye West, K. Flay and many others. His screenplay “The Line” which he co-wrote with director Ethan Berger is currently in development with Alex Wolff, John Malkovich, Jessica Barden and Scoot Mcnairy attached.
